In our present world today the impact and consequences of Climate Change have been staggering.

It would be fair to say that practical nothing on the planet has escaped it - quite literally micro has exploded to macro at a level rarely seen in human experience. Our societies economic and political systems world-wide have been dazzled like a rabbit in the headlights. The impact for us, our families, our jobs, our health, our social lifesyles and psyche is nothing sort of astounding..

If ever there was, in our lifetime, an example of the delicate fragility and interdependence of life in our world and eco-system this surely must be it. All organisms in a system depend on each other, if one rises or falls, then this can, and will affect the rest of the system.

For many, experiencing and living this process throughout COVID has given us cause to reflect on this in terms of our world views and ways we live, work and communicate.

Into this setting The Black Chapel Collective (a group of artists, DJ's, musicians, rappers and poets using contemporary multi media) look to explore Interdependance and Connectivity.

"What happens to another, whether it be joy or sorrow, happens to me." ( Meister Eckhart)

Connect A Creative Response To Climate Change selected for over 150 International Film Festivals , Connect - a creative response to climate change addresses THE issue of our times.

The Black Chapel Collective are a creative group of musicians, video artists, film makers, DJ, s, rappers, dancers, and poets all passionate about the current impacts of Climate Change. “Connect” is a culturally relevant, dynamic, inclusive, and accessible event that specifically deals with and addresses the critical environmental challenges the world now faces in 2022.

In the project we look to address and engage in these themes by using the arts as a way of both telling our 13.8 billion years global, planetary and Universe story and celebrating that with all its magnificent, beauty and diversity but also challenging us to reflect upon and challenge our human interference and the inevitable consequences of that.

As we know the arts have proven time and again to be a bridge that can win hearts and minds in a different way to politics and business, thus culture change can really occur in a real and measurable way.

Using a hybrid of contemporary music, visuals, computer graphics, speech samples, poetry and dance “Connect” addresses the environmental crisis in a modern language that a younger culture both engages with daily and understands intimately as part of their cultural DNA.

This project is also performed live with musicians, artists and even yoga practice as featured in "Temple". With plans to tour this exciting live performance / film Connect pushes the boundaries to create "Peak" and life affirming experiences.
